It’s been 14 years, but Kelis is still bringing all the boys to the yard with her milkshake — and she’s finally letting fans in on the secret.
The “Milkshake” singer solved one of the great mysteries of the world in honor of National Chocolate Milkshake Day Sept. 12, and revealed the recipe behind the irresistible beverage.

If you recall, the hit song took on a life of its own after its release in 2003 and, though no one truly knew what the lyrics meant, was featured in movies like “Mean Girls.”
The Grammy-nominated singer trained at France’s prestigious Le Cordon Bleu school, so she knows her stuff. Kelis’ second cookbook, “My Life on a Plate: Recipes from Around the World,” is out Sept. 28.

4 scoops chocolate ice cream
8 oz. ginger beer
3 oz. Bailey’s Original Irish Cream
5 pieces candied ginger
½ tsp. cayenne pepper
1. Mix chocolate ice cream, ginger beer, Bailey’s and cayenne pepper in a blender and mix well.
2. Pour the mixture into a glass after coating the rim in a chili/cinnamon sugar mixture.
3. Top with ginger-infused whipped cream and candied ginger.
4. Prepare for the boys.
