It’s been a rough week for Joe Girardi.
First fans called for his head after bungling Game 2 of the ALDS. Then closer Aroldis Chapman liked an Instagram post in which he was referred to as an “Imbecile”, though Chapman later said it was a mistake.
Now, the player who led the Bombers into the playoffs with 52 home runs appeared bewildered answering a question about his manager.
Dripping with champagne, Judge was asked how happy he was for Girardi by FS1’s Ken Rosenthal after the Yankees’ remarkable ALDS clincher in Cleveland Wednesday night.
Perplexed by the question, and at total loss for words, Judge just wiped his mouth and was silent for a few seconds before muttering, “For Joe?”

Rosenthal then elaborated, detailing the trying week for the Yankee skipper, giving the soon-to-be Rookie of the Year a moment to regroup.
Judge this time returned with an answer about the embattled boss.
“It’s all a part of it,” said Judge recouping. “Everything happens for a reason. He always believed in our team and we always had his back, always believed in him. And we just kept fighting. That’s the thing with him, he just wanted to keep fighting. And we just pick each other up.”

“For who?” joked Burkhardt.
But Thomas brought the house down.
“That champagne is kicking in again,” cracked the Hall of Famer.
