A man shot a doctor in the parking lot of an Ohio hospital before killing himself Monday, authorities said.
The doctor was walking to his car after 2 p.m. when he was shot twice outside the Affinity Medical Center in Massillon, the Independent reported.
Massillon Police Chief Keith Moser said the doctor was in surgery, but didn’t know the extent of his injuries.
The chief said the gunman’s car was parked next to the doctor’s vehicle, and died from a gunshot wound to the head.

Area schools were placed on lockdown, but it was later lifted.
