Maybe they were more than friends?
In the first promo for NBC’s upcoming James Burrows tribute show, the reunited stars of “Friends” have the audience laughing once again when they’re asked an awkward question about their off-screen relationships.
“Did you all sign contracts saying that you wouldn’t’ sleep with each other?” asks host Andy Cohen, briefly rendering the cast speechless.
Kudrow finally interjects, yelling, “David, say something!” as David Schwimmer tosses his hands in the air.
David Schwimmer reacts to an awkward question the first footage from the Feb. 21 “Must See TV” special.
The hilarious moment is the footage released from the highly anticipated “Must See TV” event, which airs on Feb. 21.
Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox and Matt LeBlanc also join Kudrow and Schwimmer at the star-studded affair — though their sixth cast mate, Matthey Perry, was unable to attend as he rehearses for a play in London.
“Friends” fans were thrilled last month when NBC announced the stars of the beloved sitcom would be coming together for a live-TV event.
Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc and Jennifer Aniston (left to right) reunite for the show, but their sixth co-star Matthew Perry is noticeably absent.
But David Schwimmer later cautioned the show isn’t the “Friends” reunion that many hoped it would be.
“In no way is it a ‘Friends’ reunion when one member is out of the country,” he told People last month.
Even without Perry, the two-hour special certainly won’t be short on talent.
Stars from popular shows such as “The Big Bang Theory,” “Cheers,” “Will & Grace” and “Taxi” all came together to honor Burrows, who has directed more than 1,000 TV episodes spanning dozens of shows over the course of his storied TV career.
