This might be the perfect bagel for a boozy brunch.
The Bagel Nook in Freehold, N.J., has created bagels with the hot flaming alcohol of Fireball Cinnamon Whisky.
It won’t, however, get you drunk; the baking process zaps out the liquor, but it is perfect if you want a raisin-less cinnamon raisin bagel with a kick.
Add Fireball Whisky Bagels to your breakfast repertoire.
The spicy cinnamon whisky is added straight to the dough, which is then boiled, topped with cinnamon sugar, then baked. Afterwards, the bagels are dunked in a Fireball glaze, with the liquor simmered out. The product is finally topped with more cinnamon sugar powder.
All of it is paired with apple pie cream cheese and will run you about $ 5. You must be 21+ and have ID to order it.
According to Elite Daily, The Bagel Nook owner and Frankenstein bagel creator Alex Berkowitz doesn’t even like Fireball. He created the boozy bagel for DJ Paul “Cubby” Bryant at 103.5 KTU, who asked for the bagel in exchange for passes to meet the Backstreet Boys.
Fireball, the cinnamon whisky, says drinking the liquor is like standing “face-to-face with a fire-breathing dragon who just ate a whisky barrel full of spicy cinnamon.”
The Bagel Nook has also created such crazy bagels as the Oreo Bagel, The Cotton Candy Overload, the Flamin Hot Cheetos Bagel and a Dorito grilled cheese bagel stuffed with mac and cheese.
