A former member of a notorious band of international thieves believes Kim Kardashian was an “easy target” for the gunmen who allegedly pilfered millions of dollars worth of jewelry from her in Paris.
Palve “Punch” Stanimirovic — a masterful safe cracker who used to run with the notorious Serbian robbery gang dubbed the Pink Panthers, inspired by the classic heist comedy — thinks he cracked the mystery of why the reality star was targeted Sunday night.
“Kim Kardashian is very active on social media,” he told The Daily Beast. “She likes to expose what she has. She had a diamond ring that’s worth $ 4-5 million. She puts it on social media and therefore everybody else knows about it. This happened to her at this hotel she stayed in.”
The thieves who robbed Kardashian reportedly forced a concierge to take them to the room she was staying in at a swanky private residence.

Upon entering, they reportedly bound and gagged Kardashian in the bathroom before making off with the jewelry on bicycles.
Kardashian was alone in her bedroom at the time, with her bodyguard Pascal Duvier seemingly providing protection at a nearby party for two of her sisters.
“Everybody knows that Kim Kardashian is an easy target,” Stanimirovic told the outlet. “She’s by herself and you know who the people are that work in the service industry in Paris and all over Europe.”
“They have friends that have friends that have friends,” he continued. “It’s so easy to pick up a phone and say ‘hey Kim Kardashian is here in room so and so.'”
Stanimirovic also speculated that the thieves probably won’t be able to pocket the full value of the $ 9-plus million dollars worth of jewelry that they swiped.
“They’re only going to get like $ 2-3 million if they’re lucky, if they’re very fortunate,” he said. “If they get $ 200,000 to 300,000 each for the five or six of them involved that’s a score.”

The Pink Panthers are believed to have made off with hundreds of millions of dollars worth of stolen goods over the past three decades.
It remains unclear who robbed Kardashian on Sunday, as the five thieves are still at large.
Kardashian returned to the United States on Monday morning, when she was reunited with her husband Kanye West.
The reality star was “badly shaken but physically unharmed” after the harrowing ordeal, according to her rep.
