Eminem hates the President despite Trump praising him in 2004

Years before Eminem ripped President Trump in a televised freestyle rap, the Donald stood at a platform and heaped praise on the lyricist.

Video from 2004 shows Trump at a campaign-style rally complete with screaming fans and political placards giving the rapper — also known as Slim Shady — a full-throated endorsement.

“Of course I’m right. I’m always right. I’m Donald Trump,” he says. “I’m always right. And Donald Trump is telling you right now, Slim Shady is a winner. He’s got brains. He’s got guts. And he’s got Donald Trump’s vote.”

The throwback video was getting some YouTube attention Wednesday in the wake of Eminem’s epic diss of Trump in a rap Tuesday night on the BET Hip Hop Awards.

The flashback was from Eminem’s “Shady National Convention,” an MTV concert featuring appearances by “cabinet members” 50 Cent and Dr. Dre, and “campaign manager” Ludacris.

Music mogul Diddy was “the mayor.”

But the highlight of the program, at least in retrospect, was Trump, who pulled no punches about Eminem being the best man for the job, whatever that was.

“This is the best city anywhere in the world, am I right?” Trump says on the video, as he brags about New York.

Fast forward 13 years, and the internet is waiting with bated breath for Trump’s Twitter response to Eminem’s toxic, foul-mouthed takedown, during which the rapper blasted the President on everything from his proposed border wall with Mexico to his war of words with North Korea over nuclear weapons.

“We better give Obama props/ ‘Cause what we got in office now’s a kamikaze/ That’ll probably cause a nuclear holocaust/ And while the drama pops/ And he waits for s— to quiet down, he’ll just gas his plane up and fly around ’til the bombing stops.”

The 4 1/2-minute rap attack called “The Storm” also questioned Trump’s priorities and his patriotism.

“Instead of talking Puerto Rico or gun reform for Nevada / All these horrible tragedies and he’s bored and would rather / Cause a Twitter storm with the Packers / Then says he wants to lower our taxes.”

Eminem ended the rap saying his fans had to choose between him and Trump.

“And any fan of mine who’s a supporter of his, I’m drawing in the sand a line,” Eminem said.

“You’re either for or against, and if you can’t decide who you like more and you’re split on who you should stand beside, I’ll do it for it for you with this. F— you.”

Then he raised his middle finger.
