A two-time felon was convicted Friday of home invasion rape in Brooklyn.
Willie Weathers attacked the 68-year-old victim inside her home after her husband left for church on July 27, 2004.
Prosecutors said Weathers, 47, knocked on the woman’s front door and asked to use the phone. When she refused, he pushed his way inside, broke the door off the hinges, choked and raped her. The woman’s husband returned home 30 minutes later and found his wife.
Weathers’ DNA was taken and entered into the nationwide database after a July 2013 arrest. That’s how cops connected him to the 2004 rape.
