The meme, created by user Leyton Mokgerepi, shows Legobane next to another model with the caption, “Girls that I like vs Girls that like me.” But the user’s attempt to mock and criticize Legobane completely blew up in his face.

The South African model replied, simply, “I don’t like you,” a retort that’s racked up over 950,000 likes and counting, including from prominent women like Ariana Grande, Ava DuVernay and Nicki Minaj.

“I’m overwhelmed by the love from people from all over the world, it’s (so) sweet!” Legobane told HuffPost. “I’ve been getting DMs from women thanking me for embracing my body and loving myself. This is why body positivity on a public platform is so important, because others (are) able to draw inspiration from me and I appreciate that. (It) means a lot to me that I can change someone’s perception about their physical appearance by loving my own.”

Legobane posted a screenshot of her reply to her Instagram and further shut down Mokgerepi’s disrespectful post.

“I hate it when men think that fat girls are desperate and that we like every other guy cos (sic) ‘we don’t have options,'” she wrote. “Check yourself.”

“It’s utter nonsense,” the model told HuffPost. “I can be fat and still be out of your league.”
