Looks like the Colts got beat so bad they forgot what team they played.
Colts coach Chuck Pagano praised the 49ers in his postgame press conference after his team was dominated from start to finish in a 46-9 season-opening loss on Sunday.
The only problem? The Colts played the Rams.
“We got our a–es kicked. Credit to the 49ers and coach McVay,” Pagano said, while seemingly unaware of his obvious mistake.
Pagano at least got the opposing team’s coach right, as the Rams are led by 31-year-old coach Sean McVay.

Meanwhile, the 49ers were pounded 23-3 by the Panthers.
Pagano’s gaffe may help explain his team’s disastrous performance.
Not only was Indianapolis without star quarterback Andrew Luck, but Pagano prepared his team for an opponent they weren’t even playing against.
