Carrie Underwood is recovering from a broken wrist after taking a tumble outside her house Friday night.
The country star, 34, took a “hard fall on some steps,” and landed in the hospital to treat a broken wrist and some cuts and abrasions, her rep told the Daily News in a statement.
Underwood’s husband, retired NHL star Mike Fisher, was able to make it back to Nashville the same night to tend to his ailing wife.
The “Before He Cheats” singer — who has since been released from the hospital — took to Twitter Sunday to thank her fans for their well wishes and give an update on her condition.
“Thanks so much for all the well wishes everybody…I’ll be alright…might just take some time…glad I’ve got the best hubby in the world to take care of me,” she wrote.
Underwood was set to play the Country Rising benefit concert in Nashville Sunday night alongside stars like Jason Aldean, Sam Hunt and Keith Urban, but was forced to pull out.
Her injury comes just days after she hosted the CMA Awards with Brad Paisley for a tenth consecutive year.
