Looks like Thanksgiving is going to be the Pitts for Brad.
The Oscar-nominated actor will not be spending the holiday with his estranged wife Angelina Jolie and their six children, a source told People.
“He’s crushed,” an insider told Us Weekly. “Brad had been deferential on what’s best for [the kids] and limits their stress.”
Brad Pitt has spent the last several weeks promoting his upcoming drama “Allied,” while Jolie and the kids have mostly kept out of the spotlight.
The former couple have been locked in a custody battle since the 41-year-old actress filed for divorce from the “Legends of the Fall” star following a physical altercation aboard the family’s private plane.
Amidst rumors that Pitt abused their 15-year-old son, Maddox, during the airborne incident, Jolie requested sole custody of their six kids: Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10 and twins Vivienne and Knox, both 8 and Maddox.
The “Money Ball” actor has since been cleared by both the FBI and the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family services of any and all abuse claims.
In early November, the former couple reportedly reached a temporary custody agreement which allows the children to remain in Jolie’s care, while Pitt receives “therapeutic visits.” But the 52-year-old father has been candid about his intent to fight for his kids and recently filed a response to his estranged wife’s divorce petition, asking to share joint physical and legal custody of their brood.
